Our Machine Upgrade Projects
Brass Insertion Machine Retrofit
For this project, we upgraded these brass insertion machines by building custom machine bases and adding cartesian robots with machine vision to achieve the accuracy needed for the operation.
Before this project, these machines were not in use, as the positing of the workpiece required more precision than was possible by hand. With the upgrades, the Yamaha cartesian robot and machine vision work together to place the workpiece in the correct position. The result is these machines are back in use and the inserts are installed with the needed accuracy.
Semi-Automated Press Machine Upgrade
We are upgrading these machines with two major upgrades: redone controls cabinets and added semi-automation. We built the new control cabinets from scratch, which will control the original machines as well as the added semi-automation and safety.
We are also able to add semi-automation to existing machines and processes. These upgrades increase efficiency for the line and decrease cycle times. This allows the customer to increase efficiency without replacing costly machines.
